Youth ages Baby to 3rd Grade:
June 23rd-July 15th, Tuesdays from 10:30-11:30a.
When you sign up for summer reading, you will receive a time log and a book bag filled with goodies as well as registration for the special events associated with summer reading. We ask that for six weeks parents spend 15 minutes a day (5 day week) reading with their child or supervise 15 minutes that the child reads himself/herself.
The Summer Reading Program will kick off with a family night at the Cedar Rapids Kernals game on Monday, June 23rd. Once again the Library has T-shirts for the children who successfully meet their reading goal. Other special events will include the ISU Insect Zoo and many other fun, educational events.
